Shri Pawanputra Hanuman

 

         

Know how Hanuman, the son of wind, defeated the deceit done by Ravana with his bravery and prudence.

 When Ravana saw that our defeat was certain, he called 1000 immortal demons and ordered them to be sent to the battlefield. They were such whom even death could not defeat.

          On receiving the news from Vibhishan's spies, Shri Ram was worried that how long will we fight with him? How will Sita be saved and Vibhishan crowned? Because the end of war is impossible.

          Kapiraj Sugriva along with Vanarvahini ( army of monkeys) also got distracted by this situation of Shriram that what will happen now? We can fight till eternity but we can't choose Vijayashree!(victory)  Both the above tasks are impossible.

          Anjananandan Hanuman ji came and saw Shri Ram worried with the monkey corps and said - 'Lord! What is the matter ?'

          Vibhishan ji told the whole thing with the indication of Shriram. Victory is impossible now.

          Pawan's son said – 'Human is the name of making the impossible things possible and the possible things impossible. Lord! You only command me, I will go alone and destroy the immortal army of Ravana.'

        'But how Hanuman? He is immortal'-Shri Ramji said.

         Lord ! Don't worry about it, just trust the servant' - said Hanuman.

          On the other hand, while walking, Ravana told the demons that there is a monkey named Hanuman, be careful with him.

          Seeing the lonely Hanumanji in the battlefield, the demons asked - 'Who are you? Don't you get scared seeing people who have come to the battlefield alone.'

Maruti said - 'Why, while coming, the demon king Ravana did not give any signal to you people who stand fearlessly in front of me.'

          It didn't take long for the nocturnal people to understand that this is the mighty Hanuman.  Still they thought – 'Even then what?  We are immortal, how will this harm us?         Fierce war started.  Due to the beating of the son of wind, the demons started piling up in the battlefield.  A quarter of the army was left when a voice came from behind – 'Hanuman, we are immortal, it is impossible to win us.  So return from Lanka with your master, this is the welfare of all of you      

  Anjaneya said - 'I will definitely return, but not because of your saying, but because of my wish. Yes, you all attack together, then see my strength and go and tell Ravana.'

          As soon as the demons together wanted to attack Hanumanji, the son of Pawan wrapped them all in his tail and threw them up in the sky.

          All of them have gone above as far as the Earth's gravitational force is concerned, they are still going on.

          His body dried up, being immortal he cannot die. So, abusing Ravana and cursing his immortality due to suffering, he is still going. Here Hanuman ji came and bowed his head at the feet of the Lord.

          Shriram said - 'What happened Hanuman?'

 'Lord ! I am coming after sending them upstairs.'

 Raghav – 'But he was immortal Hanuman.'

          Yes lord that's why I have sent them up alive, now they can never come down? Please send Ravana up at the earliest. So that Mata Janaki can meet you and Maharaj Vibhishan can get the throne.

          The Lord lifted Pawan's son and hugged him. He became blessed by getting the boon of continuous devotion. Shriram became indebted to him and said - 'Hanuman ji! what you have done, May it become dilapidated in my every part. I can't repay him. Because favor is repaid only in times of calamity. Son ! May no calamity ever befall you.' Anjaneya was overjoyed to hear this.

          Like the bravery of Hanuman ji, the bravery of Devraj Indra, Maharaj Kuber and Lord Vishnu was also not heard. Such is the statement of Shriram-

 Neither Kalasya nor Shakrasya nor Vishnarvittapasya.

 Karmani Tani Shruyante means war Hanumatah.
