what is the history of Joshimath - 2013-Uttarakhand Disaster-

Everyone have a name and due to some mistakes name was changed the same thing happened in Joshimath. try to know what is the history of Joshimath and how the name changed
Joshi Math has a very ancient history, but due to the invasions of the regional people on India and the change in language while ruling India, the name of Yoshi Math become Joshi math, who and how established Joshimath. Let's try to know what is the history of Joshimath and who established this Place.

The Significance what is the history of Joshimath's name changes

Joshimath is not a word, the word is "yoshi"  It's happened just like there is a history of changing the name of a person, similarly there is a history of changing the name of Joshimath, let's try to know what is the history of Joshimath

Yoshi means one who has gone to two houses.  In our mountains it is also called "Dwagharya".
The simple meaning of Dwagharaya is - The woman who leaves her first husband and goes to the second husband's house is called Dwagharaya.  Which is not seen with much prestige in the society.

On the contrary, Joshimath is seen from the point of view of double prestige.  The name of Joshimath has been written as "Yoshika" in the copper plates of Pandukeshwar.

When  read the dhatta-patta (donation letter) of Shri Badrinath, there did not find the word Joshimath written anywhere till 100 years ago.  Whereas the word Josi or Jusi has been used for Joshimath in its charter.  What is Juicy, who is it?  there word found '#Yoshi' written in most of the places, so famous historian and archaeologist Yashwant Singh Katoch ji according to them there is copper plates of Pandukeshwar, Yoshika is engraved on them.
When the photographs taken and translations of the copper plates, there found the word "#yoshika".
I got the impression that this is a historical place.  Its name must have a scientific basis.  Then historian started groping all the Sanskrit dictionaries and texts, and found the meaning of the word "Yoshi" written - "The one who has two houses or the path that leads to two houses, that place is called Yoshi (Dwagharaya)."
I felt that from here one house leads to Shri Badrikashram and the other house leads to Kailasa.  This is the base camp of both the houses.  That's why it is called Yoshi.  Scholars pronounce Ya in Sanskrit.  That's why you must have heard people calling Yagya as Jagya.  Similarly, "Yoshi" became "Joshi" in pronunciation and it came to be known as Joshimath because of the Math of Adi Guru Shankaracharya.  I regret that today Joshimath has forgotten even his name and the fact that he was the owner of Kailas Mansarovar as well.  Because the journey of Uttarakhand is not complete without bathing, donating and yagya in #Devprayag, #Rudraprayag, #Karnprayag, #Nandprayag, #Vishnuprayag. The worship of Prajapati Brahma is completed by bathing and performing the Yagya rituals at Prayags. Only then it is permissible to move ahead from Joshimath to have the darshan of Lord Narayan.
After going to Shri Badrinarayan, first worshiping in #Urvasi temple of Bamani, permission has to be taken from Mata Urvasi, the presiding deity of the peeth, to have darshan of Lord Narayan.  For this, it has been a tradition to take the first night's rest in Bamani after worshiping Urvasi.

Keep in mind that Urvasi is the illusion of Lord Narayan, on seeing whom friends and ascetic sages like #Varun were also shocked.  When Prajapati Brahma ji took shelter of this illusion of God for the creation of the universe, he himself got burnt in the fire of this illusion. If you have pleased Urvasi, the presiding deity of sex, by worshiping her according to the method, and there is no sexual disorder in your body at night, then you are eligible to see Lord Narayan.  But if lust has arisen in your mind, then you #Rishi are not even entitled to step on Narayan Parvat across the Ganges.  Darshan is a very distant thing.  This was the limit.  That's why it is said-

"′′ Bamani's Budyaan Badri Nidhiki.  Because the life has been passed strictly according to the criteria of dignity, but the eligibility to see Lord Narayan has not been received.
When the pilgrims had the darshan of Lord Shri Badrinarayan, then after completing all the rituals, some pilgrims would leave for Mansarovar via Mana pass via Tholingmath, but most of the pilgrims would come back to Joshimath and from there leave for Kailas Mansarovar via Niti.  Let's go  This path is easier than it is supposed to be.

Because for salvation it is necessary to see and worship Lord Brahma in Prayag, Lord Vishnu in Shri Badrinarayan and finally Lord Shiva, the God of Death #Kailaasa, only then salvation is attained.  That's why Kailas-Mansarovar is an integral part of Uttarakhand pilgrimage.  Uttarakhand Yatra is incomplete without Kailas Parikrama. Joshimath was also the main stop because from here the gomasthes (travel guides/luggage carriers) were available to the travelers for the journey to Shri Badrinath and Shri Kailas Mansarovar.  These Gumashts were mostly the youth of Uttarakhand. Khas were very hardworking and brave, who were not only Kshatriyas but also Brahmin Khas.  You would know that in Yudhishthira's Rajasuya Yagya, his priest Dhaumya, a Khas Brahmin, had taken pipilika powder as a gift.  That's why the Khas Nagas, Garo, Khasi people here are not Khas, they are descendants of sages, the best Aryas.  In Tibet there are matrilineal families, headed by women. If a man was intelligent, he became a lama in the monastery and if he was unintelligent, he became a servant of the family.  Women walk there.  Now, after such a long journey, there is no arrangement for accommodation and food for the travelers in the uninhabited Tibet, then the gomasthes would have made arrangements for the travelers at these Tibetan families.

In this way, the Garhwali Gumastas got a deep identity here. This identity became so deep that Tibetan women would often fall in love with the beautiful #Garhwali youths, as a result, children would be born from Garhwali youths here.
Now if a girl is born, the Tibetans would be happy and reward the Garhwali boy who has a girl, but if it is a boy, then that Garhwali boy was punished and the punishment was that till the boy drinks milk, the food of the mother-child-  The Garhwali boy who has a son will pay the full expenses for drinking etc. When the boy stops drinking mother's milk, then that boy will have to be taken to the same person who is the biological father of that child, while keeping the girl himself.  Thus the number of these illegitimate sons increased in Tibet, whom their fathers could not even bring back to their villages. Later, these boys were brought across the Niti Mana Pass and handed over goats to them and used to carry goods between Tibet and India through goats.  Being born in the Bhot country, they were called Bhotias.  Since they used to drink salted tea made of cow's milk in Tibet, they were called Marcha in Tibet.
Through these people, grains, pulses, cotton cloth etc. were brought from India to Tibet and from Tibet, salt, wool, honey, coral etc. were brought to India. Joshimath was the main stop of the material of this trade.
That's why Joshimath had a lot of commercial importance.  Before 530 BC, when Buddhist robbers stole from Shri Badrinarayan, destroyed-corrupted the temple and looted everything and took it to Tholingmath, the country was plagued by unrighteousness.  Then in 497 BC Adi Guru Shankaracharya came to this yoshi from Kerala and he chose this yoshi of Lord #Srimannarayan and #Kailasvasi for his spiritual practice.
Since Adi Shankaracharya was a worshiper of Srividya and he established Sriyantra in Yoshi, he engaged himself in its meditation by setting up an asana (monastery).  That's why this place was named Uttaramnaya Shrimath.  In the sanads of Sri Shankaracharya tradition, Uttaramnaya Srimath is written instead of Yoshi.  That's why in all the historical documents only Uttar Amnaya Shrimath is found written everywhere.
After Shankaracharya Maharaj re-established Shri Badrikashram and established its monastery in Yoshi, Yoshi became the main pilgrimage site for the kings of North India, up to #Nepal, #Taxashila, #Gandhara under Joshimath area.  All the kings and emperors kept coming here and taking blessings from Shankaracharya and his disciples for 20 generations.  All these disciples were transcendental, none of them died.  Think how much more fame that place will have where there are such divine ascetics. But it seems that in the first half of the 7th century, there must have been a devastating earthquake, landslides and devastating loot and attack by the Huns in this area, due to which the Acharya tradition of Shri Badrinarayan/Uttar Amnaya Shrimath would have been broken in this area.  In the 8th century, there was an Abhinav #Shankaracharya who came to this wilderness. (Some scholars believe that he is the same Abhinav who was known as Abhinav Gupta at the time of Adi Shankaracharya, he was a staunch anti-Buddhist of Shankaracharya, who killed Shankaracharya.  sorcerers were conspiring to kill) it is said that at that time anyone who went near the Sriyantra of the temples established by Shankaracharya was bound to die It is not even unnatural or imaginary.  Because gamma rays start emanating from #Sriyantras with spiritual practice.  If the seeker is not of the same level, then there is a danger of melting the bones of an ordinary person with these rays, while the divine yogi uses them to see the universe.  If the worship of Shreeyantra is broken, then the Yoginis of Mata become angry and start taking human sacrifices.  This is the reason why in today's era, householders avoid the establishment of Sriyantra and the worship of Srividya.
Abhinav Shankaracharya was a Tantrik since birth.
As soon as he came to Uttarakhand, he first went to these horrifying Shrimandirs and buried the Shree Yantras upside down and installed an idol of the common deity over them, so that the fear of people from these man-eating temples ended.  But with this act, that Srividya tradition ended in Devbhoomi by which the sadhaks used to attain immortality by conquering death.
Meanwhile, between the 6th and 7th centuries, the Katyuri king was entrusted with the responsibility of protecting this monastery.  Who made Joshimath his capital.  These kings were the worshipers of Kartikeya, hence they were called Katyuris.  Later he established Nri-Singh here.  According to some historians, the ruler of Kashmir #Lalitaditya established the #Narsingh temple here to protect it from the Huna invaders.
Now whoever has established this temple, but this much is certain that this temple has reorientated that Narasimhi Shakti in Uttarakhand who came to Lord Narayan after killing Hiranyakashipu and settled in Shri Badrikashram in the form of Narasimha Shila!
Be it Kumaon or Garhwal, when Naukhandi Narasimha is worshipped, the place of all Narasimhas is told as Joshimath.  From this point of view also, it is the duty of every Uttarakhand resident and every Narasimha devotee Vaishnav to think about Joshimath's Narasimha and Joshimath.
But what is the real reason behind the current disaster of Joshimath, first know this-
The divine mountain on which Joshimath is situated, no light has yet been shed about it, nor have its references been collected and published from religious texts.  It would be out of date to shed light on this mountain separately or to describe its glory here.  That's why just this indication is enough that Shankaracharya, the incarnation of Lord Shankar, starting from this Vishnupadi-Dhauli's Sangam Vishnu Prayag, Gaurson-Auli mountain peak in front of which is Brahma Yajanagiri and Dewangan Saptkund in the side, Saptashringa in front, Nandan forest of deities with Kaljayi Kagbhusundi.  God, whose eternal energy and divine glory is indescribable, chose him as his place of worship.
At the beginning of the Kalpa, at the time of the great catastrophe, Manu had anchored his boat at this place.  From this you can estimate the importance and sanctity of the place.
This mountain is a deity in itself.  Shankaracharya Tapasthali and Narasimha Temple are in the lap of this mountain.
Gaurson is its crest and Auli is the head!  Now just see what is the condition of Joshimath pilgrimage today - a huge colony has settled above the Narsingh temple.  The excreta and filth of the hotels are all over the temple.  There are military cantonments above it.  Government canteen of liquor there.  What to talk about government contracts and raw material.  It has become a common thing in the colony of Dudhadhari Narsingh to bleed the drains with blood in the slaughter of chickens, pigs, goats on Eid.
The buildings on which Shri Badrinath used to reside are today Christian churches.  Somewhere there are Gurudwaras of Sikhs.  In the guise of business, jihadi blood seeds get rooms on rent from so-called Dalits.  In return, Jihadis often increase peng from the mistress.  The man went to work and she to work at home.  The situation becomes such that in almost 100% cases, love is with the wife and marriage is with the daughter.  Later, by becoming son-in-law, the land also goes into their possession.  Not a family, but a new colony emerges in five years.
Those who are saved from being a morsel of Jihadis, the missionaries make them a morsel.  Christian-butchers have the dole of reservation and the protection of the SCST Act.  If you say something, you will go straight to jail.  This is Hindutva.
The common upper caste is forced to remain silent.  Here you can see sun setting, Pahar Mast materializing. My experiences in Joshimath are not good. I can describe incidents with witnesses. Drinking, fighting and abusing are the way of life of these people.
Apart from this, looting and earning money during the travel period.
Build a latrine, charge 5000 for making a passenger sleep in the verandah, this is not a sin.  The person will give to go to the latrine, it is his helplessness, but what will his soul say, the earth is tearing it apart.  Same is the case with food and other facilities.
When the money of disaster comes, it speaks on the person's head, which takes away civilization, decency, kindness, religion.  In such a situation, the temple becomes a place of shop and pilgrimage robbery.  Then how can anyone sympathize with such people?
Auli is the head of this Shankaracharya and Narasimha Parvat, but Auli is not only skiing but it has become a place of debauchery with star hotels.  The government is annoyed with pilgrimages and pilgrims, not tourists and debauchery.  That's why the tourism of tourist spots Gaurso and Auli is a blot on the head of this divine pyramidal mountain, which the government is not ready to erase, but to increase.  This whole mountain is in the shape of Shriyantra, which is the center of divine powers, but at present it is being trampled by the boots of the soldiers.  Can this Shri Parvat be freed from the boots of the soldiers?  Can this Shriparvat be freed from the hotels and tourists of Ayyasi?
Can food and free shelter/accommodation be given to the travelers in this sacred penance place of Shankaracharya as Prasad of Maa Annapurna?
These are not mere questions but paths of virtue.
The answer to these questions is - no.
What can you expect from others when ashrams named after Shankaracharya are beating hotels?
The man may die now, but his instinct is not ready to give up unrighteousness.
You are saying that nature is playing havoc in Joshimath.  I am saying that this is the havoc of unrighteousness in Joshimath.  There is havoc of the demons.  Where is the fault of God?  What just happened is nothing but "destruction black opposite intelligence".
First of all, the government should not have disturbed the ecosystem of Devbhoomi.  Earlier, when we used to go to Bugyalas, we would not even talk in a loud voice;  In fact, in the Himalayas, the divine ascetics keep doing penance in an invisible form, so that their penance should not be disturbed, they should not get angry, so to remain silent, the yogis of divine power used to be shown the fear of Aanchari, but today helicopters are being used on these fragile mountains.  They are being blown up, then you decide for yourself whether there will be development or great destruction!  Presently the cause of this great destruction is the 12 kilometer long tunnel of the hydroelectric project being constructed between Tapovan to Animath Vriddha Badri.
It has been heard that twenty-twenty five years ago, when the work of this tunnel started, suddenly a huge water reservoir inside the earth burst while digging a few kilometers inside the tunnel.  The water came out so much that the laborers came out of the tunnel with difficulty to save their lives. This water did not stop for months or years.  As a result, the work remained closed for eight-ten years. NTPC had spent a lot of money, so few years back NTPC started work again.  It is told that the company failed to get the machine stuck in the tunnel years ago out of the tunnel, then the company dug another tunnel from the side.  Here the technology changed.  Now, like railway tunnels, the tunnel is excavated from one side, then the packing of the tunnel is also completed from behind as well as from RCC all around.  Now whether water comes out or stones, soil falls, engineering has progressed so much that it all gets packed.
This packing has written the story of the destruction of Joshimath.  With this packing, on the one hand, the seepage of water from the big reserve wires made inside the earth stopped, on the other hand, the way of water coming out from these reserve wires was closed.  In other words sterilization of water took place.
I have seen the basis of my writing this - 25 years ago about 3 to 4 inches of water used to come out in the Dand Dhara of Joshimath Narasimha Temple.  When NTPC's tunnel was built, the water was 5 percent.  But for the last four years, ever since the packing of the tunnel took place, the Dand Dhara of the Nri-Singh temple, which has a brass cow face inscribed on it, has dried up.
Now NTPC people are saying that this did not happen because of the tunnel, so someone should ask them that where did the boiling hot water stream of Tapovan Taptakund disappear?  Hey donkeys!  We don't have access to the media, our statements don't come on TV, so are we illiterate?  And are the false statements more knowledgeable?
It happened that due to the closure of the natural exit from the reserve wire made inside the earth, the earth swelled with water and this water spread on the rock of Joshimath on whose debris the present Joshimath is situated.  Debris from above, water spread in the middle and hard rock below, now the land of Joshimath, in which Joshimath is situated, has started slipping due to the water spread between the soil of the landslide and the hard rock. Wherever seepages of underground water have spread, the earth has burst and cracked and the houses have been badly torn apart and are no longer fit for living.  These cracks extend from the banks of the river to the summits of Auli and Gaurson mountains.  Now this water inside the earth is erupting from place to place in the form of new sources.  The danger has increased because the soil from the debris of the rock of the mountain is flowing in this water.  Because of which the ground is becoming hollow inside and the incidents of cracks in the houses and land sliding are continuously increasing.
You can see in the picture that this tunnel being constructed near Tapovan will open at the power house at Animath-Vriddha Badri, at the other end of Joshimath mountain.  This tunnel of about 12 kilometers has badly affected the ecosystem of not only Joshimath but the entire region.
It is also worth noting that the way to reach the frontier Niti and Mana passes of Uttarakhand passes only and only through Joshimath.  You must be aware that China has intruded into India's territory in this area and often violates the Line of Control.  In such a situation, if the road is closed due to landslide in Joshimath, then the communication with the India-China border is completely lost.  Anyway, passing
through the narrow road of Joshimath is no less difficult for military vehicles than winning a war.  Civil vehicles, especially the passengers going to Shri Badrinath, have been suffering this tragedy of jam in the name of God for years.
To avoid this situation, the government made efforts to construct an all-weather road from Animath-Vriddha Badri to Vishnuprayag by-pass, but the hotel lobby of Joshimath kept opposing it.  For this, agitations were being sponsored. While the journey of 30 kilometers from the proposed bypass will be reduced to only 3 kilometers.  But the sponsored movements have kept the security of the country hostage by blocking the connectivity road reaching the borders of the country.  This lobby has hold till the Delhi court.  Where the policy makers are misled by talking about Lord Badri Vishal.
There is a need to prepare the Joshimath bypass immediately so that public pressure on Joshimath can be reduced.  As soon as the pressure on Joshimath reduces, the problem of Joshimath will end.
But the real question is whether the punishment given by Lord Nrisingh to Joshimath is enough to dry up the punishment of Lord Nrisingh?  The punishment of Lord Nri-Singh did not hurt anyone when the stream dried up.  When your hearts are so cruel, why should even God have mercy on you?
Somebody should fill it! 😢 Homes of innocent people were also broken, those who are guilty, maybe nothing will happen to them in this life, but God knows what will happen next.

I have to say that whatever you do, the water of Lord Narasimha's Dand Dhara should be restored.  Fools have no idea how angry Narasimha, who has been thirsty for years, will be. Right now he is a teller.  Otherwise, a picture will start which cannot be controlled by taking care of it.

May Lord Nri-Singh give wisdom to the relatives!

 Courtesy-Vedic 🙏🏽

Om Namo Naraynay!  The reason is that Narasimha of Joshimath is still the deity of the entire Uttarakhand.
