Hanuman Chalisa Meaning In English

  

Hello Friends,

                            Hanuman Chalisa which is actually in Hndi. The meaning of Hanuman Chalisa we Indians understand, but in the world where Hindi is not spoken, I am trying to describe the meaing of  Hanuman Chalisa in English, hope you will like it. There is an ode dedicated to Hanuman, known as the Hanuman Chalisa. It is a poem of 40 stanzas (Chaupayees) and talks about the strength, generosity, and intelligence of Hanuman.

                        In India, Hanuman Chalisa is taught to children since childhood. The important reason behind this is that our forefathers used to believe that by reciting Hanuman Chalisa daily, sorrows, pain, diseases etc. can be removed from human life.

                        Following this belife, may Lord Shri Ram devotee Hanuman ji remoe all kinds of sorrows from your life, this is what I pray at his feet and as it is always said in our SANATAN DHARMA, "VASUDEV  KUTUMBAKAM"  may the walfare of the world be.

Meaning : 

                        By purifying the mirror of my mind with the dust of the lotus feet of Shri Guru Maharaj, I describe the pure glory of Shri Raghuvveer, who gives all the four fruits of Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha.

BUDDHIHIN TANU JAANIKE, SUMIRAUN PAVAN KUMAR |

BAL BUDDHI BIDYA DEHU MOHIN, HARAHU KALESH BIKAR ||

Meaning :- Hey Pawan Kumar, consider to me, the wise man without wisdom, and give me strength, wisdom, knowledge and take away my troubles and disorders.

JAI HANUMAN GYAN GUN SAGAR |

JAI KAPEES TIHU LOK UJAAGAR ||

Meaning :-

Hail Lord Hanuman, the ocean of knowledge and virtues. Hail to Kapish who illuminates the three worlds with his fame.

RAM DOOT ATULIT BAL DHAMA |

ANJANI PUTRA PAWAN SUT NAMA ||

Meaning :-

Oh Lord Hanuman, the abode of incomparable strength, you are known in the world by the names of Anjaniputra and Pawansut.

MAHABIR BIKARAM BAJARANGI |

KUMATI NIVAAR SUMATI KE SANGI ||

Meaning :-

Hey Mahavir, you have limbs like a thunderbolt and bestow blessings upon your devotees by removing their evil spirits.

KANCHAN BARAN BIRAJ SUBESA |

KANAN KKUNDAL KUNCHIT KESA ||

Meaning :- 

Beautiful clothes are adorning your golden body. You have coils in your ears and curly hair.

HATH BAJRA AAU DHWAJA BIRAJAI |

KANDHE MUNJ JANEU SAJAI ||

Meaning :-

You are holding a mace and flag as hard as a thunderbolt in your hands. Munj and Janeu are also worn on the shoulder.

SANKAR SUVAN KESARINANDAN |

TEJ PRATAP MAHA JAG BANDHAN ||

Meaning :-

You are the incarnation of Lord Shankar and Kesarinandan. You are the most brilliant and worshipable in the world.

VIDHYAVAAN GUNI AATI CHATUR |

RAM KAJ KARIBE KO AATUR ||

Meaning :- You are learned, talented and extremely clever and are always ready to serve Lord Shriram.

PRABHU CHARITRA SUNIBE KO RASIYA |

RAM LAKHAN SEETA MAN BASIYA ||

Meaning :- You are always eager to hear the story of Lord Shriram.  Ram Lakshman and Sita always reside in your heart.

SHUSHMA RUP DHARI SIYHIN DIKHAVA ||

BIKAR RUP DHARI LANKA JARAVA ||

Meaning :-. You appeared to Mother Sita by assuming a very small form and burnt Lanka by assuming a formidable form.

BHIM RUP DHARI AASUR SANHARE |

RAMCHANDRA KE KAAJ SANVARE ||

Meaning :-

You killed the asuras (Devil or monster) by assuming a huge form and completed the work of Shri Ram.

LAY SAJIVAN LAKHAN JIYAYE |

SHRI RAHUBIR HARSHI UR LAYE ||

Meaning :- You saved Laxman's life by bringing Sanjivani herb.  Pleased with this work, Lord Shri Ram touched you with his heart.

RAGHUPATI KINHEE BAHUT BADHAI |

TUM MAM PRIY BHARAT HI SAM BHAI ||

Meaning :- Lord Shri Ram praised you a lot and said that O Hanuman, you are very dear to me like Bharat.

SAHAS BADAN TUMAHARE JAS GAVEN |

AAS KAHI SHRIPATI KANTHA LAGAVEN ||

Meaning :- Shri Ram embraced you by saying that Sheshnag with thousand faces should sing the song of your fame.

SANKADIK BRAHMMADI MUNEESA |

NARAD SARAD SAHIT AAHISA ||

JAM KUBER DIGPAL JAHAN TE |

KABI KOBID KAHI SAKE KAHA TE ||

Meaning :- Hey! Hanuman ji, Sankadik sages, Brahma and other sages, Narada, Saraswati along with Sheshnag, Yamraj, Kuber and all the Dikpals are unable to sing your praises, then what to say about the learned poets.

TUM UPKAR SUGRIVHIN KINHA |

RAM MILAY RAJ PAD DINHA ||

Meaning :- You did a favor to Sugriva and made him meet Ram and got the kingship.

TUMHARON MANTRA BIBHISHAN MANA |

LANKESHWAR BHAY SAB JAG JANA ||

Meaning :- The whole world knows that Vibhishan became Lankeshwar by following your advice.

JUG SAHASTRA YOJAN PAR BHANU |

LEELYO TAHI MADHUR FAL JAANU ||

Meaning :- Hey Lord Hanuman, in your childhood you had eaten the sun, which is thousands of yojanas away, thinking it to be a sweet fruit. and its second meaning is the distance of the sun from the earth The first word in this is Jug i.e. in Hindi 4 ages have been described 1. Satyug 2. Tretayug 3. Dwaparyug 4. Kalyug । 

Satyug            4800 yrs 

Tretayug.        3600 yrs 

Dwapar Yug  2400 yrs 

Kalyug.           1200 yrs

Second word is SHAHASTRA MEANS 1000 AND THIRD WORD IS YOJAN MEAN 8 MILE.  one mile means 1.6 km means 1.6 x 8 

if these four are multiplied 

8 x 1.6 x 12000 x 1000 = 15 Cr 36 lakh km 

The distance of earth from sun is also 15 crore 36 lakh km. India's Tulsidas ji had made this difference thousands of years ago in Hanuman Chalisa, which took years for America, Russia, France and other European countries to find out. Through our Hanuman Chalisa, Tulsidas ji had already told thousands of years ago

Meaning :- No wonder you crossed the vast ocean by keeping Lord Ram's ring in your mouth.

Meaning :- All the difficult tasks in the world become easy by your grace.

RAM DUAARE TUM RAKHWAARE |

HOT N AAGYA BINU PAISARE ||

Meaning :- You are the gatekeeper of Lord Rama, without your permission one cannot enter his court.

SAB SUKH LAHAI TUMAHARI SARNA |

TUM RAKSHAK KAHU KO DAR NA ||

Meaning :- The one who takes refuge in you gets all the happiness.  The one whose protector you are, has no fear of anyone.

AAPAN TEJ SAMHARO AAPAI |

TEENO LOK HANK TE KANPAI ||

Meaning :-

Hey Mahavir, you yourself can handle the power of your glory. All the three worlds tremble at your single roar.

BHUT PISHACH NIKAR NAHI AAVEN |

MAHABIR JAB NAAM SUNAVEN ||

Meaning :-

Ghosts and vampires run away just by saying your name and do not come near.

NASEI ROG HARAI SAB PEERA |

JAPAT NIRANTAR HANUMANT BEERA ||

Meaning :- Continuous chanting of Hanuman ji's name destroys all kinds of diseases and pains.

SANKAT TE HANUMAN CHHUDAVEN |

MAN KARM BACHAN DHYAN JO LAGAVEN ||

Meaning :- Whoever meditates on Hanuman ji with order and promise, he is saved from troubles.

SAB PAR RAM TAPASVI RAJA |

TIN KE KAJ SAKAL TUM RAJA ||

Meaning :- All the works of Ram, who is God himself, were also done by you.

AUR MANORATH JO KOI LAVEN |

SOI AMIT JEEVAN FAL PAVEN ||

Meaning :- 

Hey Hanuman ji, you fulfill all the wishes of the devotees.

CHARON JUG PARATAP TUMHARA |

HAI PARSIDHA JAGAT UJIYARA ||

Meaning :- Hey Hanuman ji, the glory of your name is in all four ages Satyug, Treta, Dwapar and Kaliyug.

SADU SANTON KE TUM RAKHVARE |

ASUR NIKANDAN RAM DULARE ||

Meaning :- You are the protector of sages and saints, the destroyer of demons and very dear to Lord Shri Ram.

AASHTA SIDDHI NOU NIDHI KE DATA |

AAS BAR DEEN JANKI MATA ||

Meaning :- You are the provider of eight types of achievements and nine funds and Janaki Mata has given you this boon.

Meaning :- You are a devotee of Lord Shri Ram since eternity and the medicine named Ram is always with you.

Meaning :- With your devotion, you get the grace of Lord Shri Ram, who gives freedom from the sorrows of birth after birth.

Meaning :- He goes to God's world after death in the last time and becomes a devotee of Hari on birth.

Meaning :- Even without worshiping any other deity, all kinds of fruits are attained only by your grace.

Meaning :- The person who meditates on Hanuman ji, all his troubles and pains vanish

KRUPA KARAHU GURUDEV KI NAAI ||

Meaning :-  Hail Lord Hanuman Gosain.  you bless me like gurudev

JO SAT BAAR PAATH KAR KOI |

CHUTAHI BANDI MAHA SUKHA HOI ||

Meaning :- One who recites this Hanuman Chalisa hundred times, all his troubles go away and he gets great happiness.

JO YAH PADAI HANUMAN CHALISA |

HOY SIDHI SAKHI GOURISA ||

Meaning :- One who recites this Hanuman Chalisa definitely attains Siddhi, the witness of this is Lord Shiva himself.

TULASIDAS SADA HARI CHERA |

KIJAI NAATH HRIDAY MANH DERA ||

Meaning :- O Hanuman ji, you reside in my heart thinking that Tulsidas is always a devotee of Lord Shri Ram.
